Pictures of china
tadpat22, 12:57h
We just today had the chance to save the pitures. Here are some impressions:
A panda baby in Chengdu breeding centre
Here we are above forbidden city and patrick was a superstar surrounded by minimum 6 chinese tourists with huge cameras!
Its me on the greatwall of china. And except of us there was noone.
In the earlier post I was talking about the festival in Kanding with thousands of candles, here is a small imagination
Thats us when we had lunch in Garze. The bauze is filled with yak meat. Was really tasty. (You can't get veggie options there!!!)
Incredible. Amazing. 40.000 monk huts. Here the picture.
And here some studying monks.
Have a good new year.
Cheers

Merry Xmas
tadpat22, 06:55h
Hi everyone,
First of all we wish you all a nice and calm merry christmas. Also only good wishes for your start in a new exciting year 2015!
We celebrated Christmas with some friends we met the last days. At the moment we're chilling in our favourit city, Chengdu. Also organizing a little bit our stay in Philippines. :-)
Before we have been in West-Sichuan to get the tibetean feeling. There are people saying that this part is actually more tibetean than Tibet itself :-)
Our first stop was in Kanding. You can't yet feel the tibetean culture there because its a nice and modern city. We were quite lucky and arrived there in time, because same evening was a celebration honoring Buddhas death. It was absolutely amazing because the chinese/tibetean people enlightend thousands of candles. Beautiful.
The next day we were strawling around the city explored a buddhist monastery and enjoyed the view on some higher mountains far away. :-)
The following stop was Garze. A smaller town close to some high snowcapped mountains. Patrick couldn't stop taking pictures :-)
There also we saw a colourful sunset behind the mountains.
Was absolutely great.
Next day was the highlight and more or less the reason why we did this trip. The town called Larung Gar. It's a monastery in a small valley with 40.000 monks living around there in small wooden huts, coloured in red, blue, green etc. Was absolutely beautiful there. I also met a monk who gave me some fruits and a coconut juice as a present just for chatting a little bit with him. Thank you again. :-)
Also we had lunch in the monastery. Very simple food, rice with vegetables, but we love this kind of food. <3
That was a great trip we really enjoyed it. The reason why we were able to go on this trip was that Lu, a chinese girl we met in Beijing, gave a really thick and warm coat to Patrick because he was sick. THANK YOU LU <3
All best wishes for you,
We go out having lunch now. :-)
Cheers

Back in China!
tadpat22, 06:27h
Hi everyone,
Due to the strange visa regulations we needed to leave china! But now we're back again! BEIJING, we are in the capital now!
But I will start from the beginnimg.
Before we left Chengdu, we went for hiking to the four sisters mountain. We had great weather, sunshine and great view (no clouds)! We like the mountains, but this trek is not comperable to Nepal <3 in the beginning of the trek it was a path out of wood. :-)
It was really nice to go there, also because of the road going there. VERY bumpy :-)
But now we are in Peking...
I don't know about the weather in germany, but in Peking it's freezing cold. :-)
We arrived today (3.12) after a 24 hours trainride from Shenzhen... We booked sitting, because the sleeper class is double the price. But we never ever would have expected that the train was almost fully booked. A week before we also went a 37 hours trainride seated from Chengdu to Shenzhen, this was more than comfortable and almost emty!!! :-)
Everything is fine. We also survived this experience and we had a funny conversation through smartphones and tablets (with translating apps)! After half a minute nobody could move in the corridor, because everyone wanted to "listen"!
Now we go out for something to eat and also exploring the city...
Pictures will come soon!
Cheers,
Tadpat
