CHINA
tadpat22, 12:55h
Hi everybody!
China is great. In the beginning it was more like a challenge. Nobody speaks english and oir chinese is few! Also we pronounce the words wrong so they don't understand!
After around 3 weeks we can handle it. :-)
Chengdu is a really nice city. It's the home of the pandas! Wow I've never seen such a cute cuddeling ball! :-) the baby pandas were so young they couldn't really walk! And they sleept a lot :-) We love them.
Chengdu is the capital of sichuan, which is famous for the sichuanpepper. Here they like to eat hot/spicy. So we did when we went to the hot-pot. It was lovely, but especially because we had a half half hot-pot. Which means half spicy half not. So hen it's getting too spicy you can eat from the other half :-)
Yesterday we have been out for chinese party in a club and I really loved it. Great fun! They danced like hell so that the floor was already jumping!
The food is good. Normally we find everywhere buffets, where you can point on two or three things, going together with rice! In Dali we found a vegetarian all-you-can-eat buffet for around 0,70 € ! Great great great :-)
The people here they are very friendly. Unfortunately you can't really communicate because of the language barrier!!! But we meet a lot of nice travellers around in china!
Hope everybody is fine!
(At the moment again no fb or gmail access) always depends on the hostel, they sometimes have a vpn tunnel!
Cheers,
Tadpat

CHINA
tadpat22, 16:23h
Hi everyone!
After more than 2 weeks in china we still cannot pronounce the chinese words correctly :-) But we have a small sheet of paper where everything important is written on and when they see what we mean normally we get what we want :-) The language barriere is hard to break, also because they don't speak english!
Our first stop was yangshuo. We had a great stay there, because it had been the puplic holiday! During the puplic holiday almost every chinese employee is in yangshuo :-) there were a lot of people and it was great to see!
The landscape around there is amazing. With this huge karst mountains coming out of the ground and go sometimes severall hundrets meter straight into the sky!
After yangshuo we took the train to kunming. Kunming itself is not so special. A chinese giant city. But we stayed there a couple of days, because the people in the hostel were really nice!
Now we are on the way back from yuanyang with its breathtaking rice terasses. Unfortunately we had bad weather the days we had been there. But one day we could see the rice terasses, not completly and not with this great reflexions but it was a relaxing stay! We enjoyed the food and meet some other people. Thanks to Karin for so many hours of laughing!!! :-)
Later we take the train to dali. An other hilltown or city! Close to the himalayan mountains!
Gmail is still not working! Same for facebook!
Hope you all are fine!
Cheers from china!

Hong Kong 2
tadpat22, 05:31h
Hi there,
finally we did it out of Hong Kong. We enjoyed the 10 days there. HK is a great city, a lot of things to do. They have plenty of Museums which are admission free. The skyline from HK is great, amazing! And it's beautiful to have the view from "the Peak" down on the city.
An other aspect which made our stay that great, was our meet up with Monica. We found her on Couchsurfing! Together we went out for traditional food (dim sum and the rice pot), we cooked together, chatting and drinking beer!
It was super to stay at your home, Monica! Thank you again.
Now we are in Yuangshou, China. (We applied for the visa in HK! SUCH A STRESS!!!)
Looking foreward to a great time in China!
Cheers,
Tadpat
