MEXICO
Hey guys!

After Cuba we went back to Cancun, mexico. We stayed in Cancun a little because we needed to organize the next steps. We again stayed with Alexs' Gandma, a big big thanks again (it was completely spontaneous because we didn't had internet to contact them!)!
Following we went to Tulum. Nice ruins at the sea and some nice beaches.

But what we enjoyed the most was Akumal, where you can snorkel off the shore to see some sea turtles. We got the snorkeling mask from our friend we were couchsurfing with. Thanks a lot, because we went there 3 times to enjoy swimming with turtles. Unfornately we only have a picture from the surface!
The turtles were great and it looks so cute when they come above the surface. We tried to take a picture but yeah it's a little difficult :-)

The little brown spot is a turtle breathing <3

Afterwards we went to Chetumal, close to the belizean Border. On the way we did a quick stop at Cenote Azul.

With our host, Rodrigo, we went to the 7 colours lagoon in Bacalar. Here Patrick snd Rodrigo in the water.

Also we have been in Mahahual for 2 nights. It's a nice small beach town, good for relaxing and enjoying the sun and a beer! :-)

Now we are in Belize and soon will follow the next post here!

Have fun,

Love.

Tadpat

MEXICO
Salud mi amigos!

Mexico is greazy (great + crazy)! First we arrived 6 o'clock in the morning after a super long journey and a great and 'healthy' Burger in LA (out of the plane we saw the HOLLYWOOD letters!!!)!

In Mexico City we found our way to our lovely and crazy host Tania! When we tried to call her ('number is not existing') by accident she went by, on the way to buy some beer for the after party :-)

Great start for Mexico :-) with Tania we stayed for one week, become really good friends and exploring Mexico City and surrounding (Teotihuacan and Xochimilco).

The next stop brought us to Javier and his mom in Puebla. Beautiful city with all houses in different colours and the Popocatepetl vulcano (we saw him blowing black smoke in the air!)

Unfortunatly Oaxaca we only had a short stay but when we went outside the city to see the famous ruins where the most heavy rain we ever had seen (and felt) came down on us! Also under a umbrella we became completly wet!

Why we only had short time in Oaxaca, because we met our lovely friend Tania again at her parents house at the coast in Tehuantepec! Relaxing, great food and hanging out with our friend! Super! Now we have a mexican mom and dad :-)

Next stop was San Cristobal de las casas. Very touristic and we couldn't really find out why. But our host, Gaby and Juan, made it unique and a great place. We were celebrating the 4th birthday of their bar together, made henna tattoes (especially the little sunshine Valentina, their daughter) had some hangover barbeque together and visiting the surrounding traditional villages, where we could fit a traditional wedding dress! :-)

Two short stops at Aqua Azul and the beautiful pyramids in the jungle near Palenque and we went on to Merida.

Here we stayed with Jorge. Ha we had great time and we became friends! We went around in the city together, to the beach and to so called cenotes (a cave, filled with water and you can swim in it)! He also showed us typical bars, where you order drinks and get free food and we went dancing in the Mezcaleria (Salsa and Ska!).

Jorge and Brenda, we're waiting for you with a car/apartement full of beer and fun when you're on your trip in Europe!

On the way to Cancun we visited Chichen Itza. Touristic and except of the main temple not that spectacular because you can't climb the pyramides.

Cancun we arrived for Spring Break :-) but we only did some party at the beach before flying to Cuba!

The food in Mexico is great! But what Jorge taught us is that the ingredients are always Tortilla, Carne (meat), Cebolla (onion), Frijoles (black beans) and Salsa! :-) Only the shape is different, and we love it. Especially the taco vitamines in front of Tanias appartement! :-) and the super yummi food in san cristobal!

Thanks to all the people we met in Mexico that helped us in anyway.... Tania and her parents, javier and his Mom, Salvator, Gabi and family, Jorge and Brenda, Zak and Olek, Alex and his Gandma.

Sorry for this beeing late, but as I explained there is no Internet in Cuba!

Love to all! Friends and family everywhere in the world!
