SOUTH KOREA

Hi guys!
Wow, ok 9 days in south korea or better in Seoul! Not enough but defenately enough time to get a rough impression!
We experienced great hospitality in south korea! First Bona, she hosted us although it was one of the biggest national holidays. On top she did a lunar new years dinner with her friends and us. Great! And really delicious! Was a joyfull time with you. Thanks again!
Also with our second host we've been very lucky. Gari and his younger brother. They are very friendly and interesting to meet them. We had again great fun and exchanging exoeriences. First evening was a party with his friends and following evenings we were talking late until night.
Last morning he also introduced his parents to us. Wow. His mom was creating a delicious typical food for us.
Between our two hosts we were spending one night at a korean jim jil bang. That's a sauna and a bath and it is possible to spend your night there. It's seperated by gender but there is an area where Patrick and I could meet. You always get clothes from them, as well as a towel, toothpaste and shampoo.
Was a funny experience, sleeping with the farting koreans! :-)
Seoul is a nice city. We've been on markets, at the national and at the war museum, in parks and at the DMZ!
We haven't been inside DMZ because we missed the only train going inside, but we have seen it from nearby. Also we thought we hear some gunshots and afterwards we saw two tanks which were driving! (Before they were parking under a bridge...) They have been icredible loud!!!
We're still asking ourselves if the gunshots and the moving tanks have been routine/practising?!?
At DMZ you feel that there is still a bad relation between North and South!!!
Great experiences, we met super nice people so i guess we will come back! :-)
Check in for our flight was a big trouble! Because we had a stop over in USA we needed a visa, also as transit! Then Wifi and computer were not working. This online visa took us about 1 hour and we were quite late at check in counter. So they asked us if we are o.k. to fly with an other company/flight. We agreed and there we had again some trouble!!!
BUT we flew with Korean Air, a great companies. Also we had the Airbus A380!!!! Climbing stairs in a plane!!! Great. :-) We had 4 seats, so we each had two for sleeping :-)
Service was top and food really nice for food in a plane!!! :-)
With our 9 hours transit we went to a american Burgerrestaurant! Yummi. But now it feels like we have 10 kg more :-) also we were watching the planes landing and were sleeping, try to minimize the jetlag :-)
Life is wonderful!!!!
Cheers!!!
