Wow! :-)
They celebrate the end of Ramadhan with their families! So there was no big party in Jakarta. Only some kids (and tourists) who did some fireworks!!!!
Our impression of Jakarta: the whole city was closed :-)
Due to Ramadhan and the holidays!!!
So we decided to move on. Now we are in Yogyakarta! But to get here this is a real story :-)
We booked a overnightbus, because the guy from the ticket office said it's a 12 hours ride.... great plan, arriving in the morning, check the hotels and do some sightseeing!
BUT the bus needed 25,5 hours!!! So we arrived late in the evening and all hotels were booked!!! After 25,5 hours of not having sleept (the bus was playing hoppe hoppe reiter with us) we needed to figure out a plan.
We went to a more pricy Hotel ask them to store our bags for one night. First Hotel said no, the second agreed!
Then after having some latenight dinner it turned out that we are really tired! We went back to the hotel with the luggage and they had no problem with us, sleeping in the lobby!!! Resume: we saved the money for one night and had a comfortable couch! :-)
Mext morning we had different options. Afer a long disscussion of pros and cons we decided to search for a room again....
Patrick first got a hint that there is a hotel with available room, but it was shitty and far from the center.
And while Patrick checked some other things (because of our visa) I went out for a room and I was really lucky. The second Guesthouse I checked was available!!!!
A small nice, and clean room, with attached bathroom and normal price!!!!
Now relaxing a bit and go for food in a couple of minutes!!!!
This is our lucky chance!!!!
Chill out
