SLOTH
tadpat22, 06:57h
Yeah!!!!!!!
Jajajajajsjsjjajaja
We found our first sloth, actually Patrick found it. We only had the Information that from time to time there is a sloth wandering around this area!
It was sleeping in front of our hostel and we waited for it to get up!!!! We were standing there and watching it eating and scratching itself for 2 hours. Then it went into the thicket of trees!
Because I (Taddy) was so excited and needed to "run" on toilet I stumbled over my own feet and destroyed my pants.
That will remind me evertime on my first sloth in Costa Rica.
With full of joy and happiness

NICARAGUA
tadpat22, 06:46h
Hola amigos!
Finally we arrived in Costa Rica. We spend a few days more in Nicaragua because we met super nice people in San Juan del Sur!
But from the beginning.... our first stop was Leon. Famous for it's Vulcano boarding. We didn't went there with a tour which was quite difficult but we managed it and boarded down twice because it's such fun. Also we went to the beach relaxing and 'dipping' in the cold pacific water! Waves were too strong for swimming... Our overnight camping at vulcano Telica was different than expected. Because of high activity we needed to camp in the forest, few meters down and away from the crater! But no explosion happened that night.
Next stop was Masaya, an untouristic town next to an aktiv vulcano. (Nothing really special any more! Haha) there we went to the Handicraft market and to the local one, to a small national park called Chocoyero, we climbed vulcano Mombacho and had incredible bad weather (but were still lucky that the rain started at the end of our trail...)! But didn't find the 2 sloths which some parc rangers saw the same morning. And also we did a daytrip to Granada, nice and touristic but nothing mind blowing :-)
After Masaya we went to Ometepe Island. This is an Island formed from two vulcanos. Nice to relax a while and meet some locals.
In San Juan del Sur we stayed longer than expected, as I already said in the beginning. Partytown and beaches... :-) and super nice Austrians, Lena (translated from spanish: firewood) and Daniel. Thanks guys for making us laugh.
Now we're in Monteverde, Costa Rica. Still searching for sloths.... maybe this time we're lucky....
Big hugs from Costa Rica.
Cheers
