HONDURAS

Alrighty guys,
Time to resume Honduras, statisticly the most dangerous country in the world. Why? Because there are two gangs fighting each other... no effect on tourist. And when you walk around with open eyes, also stealing is no issue.
Actually we had one of the best time of middle america in Honduras!
So we started in Comayagua. The road was terrible, because it was in construktion... 3 and a half hour a bumpy dirtroad! In 2018 the road should be finished...
Comayagua is a nice little city with a beautiful central park and the church has one of the oldest clocks in america and the funny thing: the ONLY one which still works :-)
From Comayagua we did some daytrips to Marcala, a nice Lenca hilltown, we went to a trek called Tenampua, which was really hard to find and we didn't reach the end, because it was too dangerous, and also we did a daytrip to Lago Yojoa enjoing the view and a cool breeze.
After Comayagua we went to Gracias. Also a Lenca town, close to National Park Celaque, where we were trakking for a day. Also we went to La Campa which is famous for its Extreme Canopy! Uffff! 350 meters high jumping in a gorge and trusting the equiment! :-) It was great fun and beautiful on the same hand. In Gracias itself was a little festival and every evening there were playing some music acts.
Our next stop was Siguatepeque. Nothing special about this town, but we met a friend there and with him we also visited the north coast for a day and had delicious seafood!
Next step was back to the south, but this time we took the road through Tegucigalpa, to go to San Lorenzo. From there we visited Honduras only Vulcano, Isla del Tigre as a daytrip. We had a delicious fish and went back to San Lorenzo. The next day we wanted to cross the border, but because we didn't had Internet in San Lorenzo we didn't know about the fees at the border. So we went to the next city, Choluteca searching for informations. When we got all informations, it was already too late... also it was sunday... Sunday isn't a day to move to the next place, because almost everybody is drunken from the morning on! Ok, so we were searching for a hostel and found a quite good one!
Next day we crossed the border to Nicaragua, where we are now!
I'm sorry for still having no pictures... so I took a shoot from the camera with the tablet! :-)
A street in beautiful hilltown marcala.
One of the bands playing in Gracias.
The starting point of the canopy.
And last with Jesus and Kim at the beach.
Stay safe! :-)
