FLASHBACK ABOUT ASIA
Thinking back about this great time:

We started in INDIA, which was a huge cultural shock. Maybe the biggest on the whole journey so far!
India was crazy, so many funny, amazing and terrifying things happen.
First of all, the Holi festival in Hampi. Bride colours and a lot of fun, a great party. Also the ruins in Hampi were really impressive.

Mentioned the next is this awesome Tiger in Rathampore. In the beginning of our safari a little unlucky but the we saw him. Beautiful. And I spotted him. Ingredible beautiful and majestetic animal. <3
The Indians themselves are worth to travel there. This typical head-shaking thing :) I loved it that much that I´m doing it now as well from time to time. The man also holding hands ALL the time, only because they are friends! :)
Not so funny was that there were masses of dirt everywhere and they burn it. Toxic air!
Also the first time booking the train was such a stress and it took patrick almost the whole day! But we had some support helping us. Thanks to HARSH!
The trainrides themselves were quite comfortable.
Wow, the food!!!! Almost forgot it! :) Daal and Naan! Yummi and incredible cheap.
Our last impression in India was the Cricket Captain Gautam Gambhir. We saw him playing before against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and they were winning and qualifying for the Final (which they also won).
Of course that´s not all, but that will take to much time and I want to write about the other countries as well, like NEPAL.

Our next stop. Stunning landscape! A lot of mountains and the highest I have seen so far (7227 m high). Also the Chitwan National Park where we have seen a wild rhino and a bear was running away from us!

Crazy busrides with drivers who are 20 years old!!! Oh my god, but we survived it :)
An other crazy thing is that in Kathmandu they have a schedule to switch off the power in Summer and Spring!
The food in Nepal is sometimes little similar to India. They also have Daal, but they eat it with rice. An other nepalese speciality is Momos. It´s like a dumpling filled different and they either steam or fry it.
The people in Nepal were really nice, friendly and lovely.

Also in MYANMAR/BIRMA we met incredible nice and authentic people with an untouched heart. Same than the country itself.
The Buddhas and golden Pagodas are so beautiful. And they are everywhere!

We were celebrating Patricks Birthday in a small Town with a nice bar. And of course the soccer match Germany versus Ghana.
We had the chance to see every single game in Myanmar because they have coffee shops which are open the whole night. It´s more a tent and they setting up a TV. :) Great fun and you have funny discussions about who´s going to win! :)

MALAYSIA is one of the more developped countries in Southeast Asia. We spend there two and a half weeks. Went to beautiful Melaka, Tioman Island and of course Kuala Lumpur.
In Melaka we met a great group of people with whom we had a great time. And there we had the so called best burger (an american said it!!!!)

Melaka has a beautiful nice old town and the river is a world heritage site.
In Melaka and Tioman we also had the chance to watch all soccer championship games.
Brazil against Germany!!! No more to say!
Food was quite good. You could always find place which are good and for a resonable price! :) In Kuala Lumpur we had noodles with spinach and Mushrooms. Yummi!
In Kuala Lumpur we were watching the Final! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Next day we were flying to INDONESIA, Medan on Sumatra Island. The city itself has nothing to see, but from there you go to Berastagi. A nice hilltown surrounded by 3 vulcanoes.
Our next stop was Bukkitingi, where we were trekking up a vulcano at night. There we also went the first time to a so called Warung (meaning is restaurant, but it´s local food). We love love love indonesian food. Rice and some toppings you can choose from, like vegetables, tofu, fish or potatoes. Also meat, but we didn´t eat meat because the veggie things were amazing.

The landscape in Indonesia is incredible. From beaches, rainforest to vulcanoes and various of animals. Just like the comodo dragons, tarsiers, turtles, the rafflesia flowers (biggest in the world. Unfortunately we didn´t see), Kalimutu lakes and so many other amazing things.
For me, Indonesia is my favourite country in Asia.

Afterwards we went to HONG KONG. There I need to mention MONICA the first. Our lovely host for 3 times. A big big thank you!
We like Hongkong. It´s a cool, modern city with an amazing view on the skyline, especially at night!

At our 2nd stay we were celebrating New Year with MIRINDA. She worked in the supermarket at Monicas home and we made friends with her. Very lovely girl.
First stay in HK we did our chinese visa. What a stress, but in the end it worked out. You only need to know how! :)

CHINA. In total almost 3 months and it was so cool. In the beginning I directly wanted to leave again, but we helped ourself with a sheet of paper, where we wrote the most important things on. After you get used to the fact, that only a few people speaks english you can handle china quite good. We had a great time there, met lovely people (locals and travelers), saw stunning landscape in West-Sichuan, saw the cute giant pandas, the Great Wall and Beijing.

The chinese food we had was really good. Of course you can eat weird things like brains, chicken feets or other things you won´t imagine... :)
China was a great experience. It´s a huge country with a high population and a culture totally different from everything else. :) Hard to describe you need to go there!

Next stop and first new country in 2015 was PHILIPPINES.
Wow, we had seen the biggest fish in the world. A Whaleshark. It was swimming next to us, maybe 2 meters away. In Donsol, where we saw the Whaleshark, we also celebrated my birthday.
Other Islands we had seen: Cebu Island (and city as well as Moalboal for snorkeling), Bohol (for the chocolate hills and a really authentic time spending with locals) and Palawan (with incredible beaches).

Food in Phillies was good, but often we had in a veggie meal some meat fat! Still yummi!

We were thinking a lot if we should go to JAPAN. Luckily we went there. I think in Japan we met the nicest people in the world. Very polite and friendly, open minded and helpfull.
We met MICHIRU with couchsurfing. She was incredible. Cooking for us, invited us for lunch in a restaurant and showed us the city. We all were allmost crying when we left. <3

Food, of course shushi. I think we were eating shushi every day. Yummi.
Japan was great to see and I think we defenately go back to see some more of this nice people, countryside, temples and also cities.

SOUTH KOREA or better Seoul was our last stop in Asia and also great fun. We met nice people, experienced great hospitality and did some party with them.
In Korea you can still feel the war. Soldiers on heavily armed vehicles, tanks driving down the roads and gunshots (for practising).

You see, we have seen and experienced a lot the last year in Asia, now we're looking foreward to our experiences in Middle and South America!

To be continued....

:)
