VENEZUELA

Wow, what an experience!

Venezuela is our new favourite country in south america. Why?!

1. The people. We made awesome new friends which had a lot of interesting stories to tell.
2. The country it self. Venezuela has everything. High mountains, caribean sea, dessert, Highlands and "la gran sabana" with its Tapuis.

Well we arrived from the south in la gran sabana. This region is famous for the highest waterfall in the world (Salto Angel, which we didn't see) and for Mount Roraima which we saw...

UPDATE

Since French Guyana we have been in Suriname which was a cool experience. We stayed few days in Paramaibo and New Nickerie. It felt strange because of the language (dutch) which is so similar to german but in South America! :-)
Suriname has an interesting cultural mix of ethnies.

Next country was Guiana. Where we only spend some days in Georgetown. Because we couldn't find a jungle lodge to work at...
Guiana is completly different again. Interesting to see as well.

After Guiana we entered Brasil...

FRENCH GUYANA

Hello again,
Our short stay in the south-american EU was a full succes.
We arrived in French Guiana by plane and it was hardly raining. Since there is almost no public transportation we needed to hichhike to the place where our lovely host live. Patrick hiding under a roof and me with the rainjacket made the second car stopping for us bringing us to Remire Montjoly.
Here Taddys dream came true. In january 2014 Patricks birthday present for me was a meeting with a sloth! Finally and I didn't expect...

BRAZIL

Hey everybody,
I know that it is already some weeks ago that I wrote the last time.
Now we left Brazil. After almost 3 months in a beautiful country with lovely people.
We started coming from Paraguay to see the Iguazu Waterfalls. Man that's a lot of water!!!! Puh!!! So after Taddy got attacked by a coati (we had something to eat and they wanted it!) we made beautiful pictures of this stunning nature wonder and got wet while standing almost unter the waterflow. Almost.... :-)

Next stop was Rio...

So because we didn't had enough Bolivianos with us the bus dropped us on the first civilisation. It was only a few houses and a police checkpoint (not immigration for Paraguay!!!) The policemen were super friendly, offering their bathroom and a place to rest. But when they told us there is only a connection every two days to the immigration town, we already saw ourselfs sleeping in the wilderness again!
This time we were lucky. After 6 hours waiting the collectivo/bus drove by and we had one of...
